The Vision

January 2009 was a very pivotal year for me in my walk with the Lord. It was then, that He decided to prompt my heart and show me what it is that He wanted me to pursue: a clinic for girls who struggle with eating disorders in Newberg.

The vision came out of the blue as I lay awake in the middle of the night. The Lord told me that He wanted me to be part of starting a clinic in Newberg someday. Anyone who knows me knows that although I LOVE organizing and doing administrative tasks, I don't like taking on a HUGE project like this. I would rather be behind the scenes. This was out of my element. As soon as He spoke to me about this, I got up and journaled about all that He had told me.

The next evening at The Way, the sermon happened to be about vision (for the sermon, listen here to The Art of Visioneering Part 1: http://www.ajesuschurch.org/Teachings),which confirmed everything the Lord had shared with me the night before. From then on, God had given me a passion and a heart to pray for something that was bigger than I could imagine and WAY bigger than myself.

God has shown me some specifics and although I am continually reminded that it will probably not look like how I picture it, it is still a blessing and I am in awe that for this time, He has shared His heart for what He wants. As long as I remember the verse in Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" and continue to walk in His ways, I believe He will do great things.

So, will you join with me in praying that God would create a place where girls can go (in Oregon), that they can get healing?

Here is what the Lord has shown me so far. I will eventually be writing a mission statement and refine this more, but for now, it is in it rawest state...just getting it out there and being obedient to the Lord.

This is the property that God has led me to pray at for the clinic.

Prayers
God would break the bonds of the women
Refine and draw closer to those involved
Psalm 109:1 “Be not silent, O God of my praise.”
Prepare someone to be in charge of the clinic
Someone/people to donate money to the land and clinic
Future clinic would represent a new change of life...hope
